The Kids Take Over – Ellie-Jayne – Week 5

Each week I am handing over my blog to the kids to have their say and let you know whats going on with them. I have told them they can be completely honest and if I have annoyed them or if something has upset them then to just go for it and type how they feel. I figured this way you guys can get to know their personalities and more about who they are as each one of them is completely different.

Ellie week 5

Hey Guys!!
Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. This week has been super busy and we’ve done loads.

Well the first thing is that recently we have been going swimming. Annabelle at the beginning was so scared of the water to the point of screaming and just today she managed to walk around without holding onto anything. Also I wasn’t very good when we first started going and couldn’t swim but I managed to swim a whole width. My next aim is to do a length. Mum said if I manage it that she will treat me so I’ve got to try.

It was also Annabelle’s birthday this week and she got massively spoilt. I gave her a handmade art book out of my paper in my art book and made little tasks for her to do to help her. She really enjoyed completing it and playing with her toys.

Not long ago we went to our Uncle and Aunties house. We had so much fun and did so much including visiting a water park and the birthplace of Sir Isaac Newton. Which I found extremely interesting and educational. ( I’m a bit of a dweeb so love stuff like that)

I’ve had my phone taken off me until I clean my bedroom so I think tomorrow that is what I am going to spend my day doing although Mum has planned an afternoon of healthy drinks, Face masks and general pampering so I might just have to wait until Sunday 😉

That’s all from me for now

See ya

Ellie week 2

Hello again people!

I’ve done quite a lot this week. First of all I went to Clubbercise and it was EXTREMELY hot. I like going to Clubbercise it disguises that you’re doing exercise and makes it more fun. I like the fact it’s very upbeat and we even get glow sticks, not only that but I did it in big, puffy , bright pink trousers that I had been given from my school project for house arts.  If you would like to see more of what Clubbercise is like my mum has made a Vlog

On Saturday we went to the local fire station and Freddie loved it he is obsessed with anything to do with firemen and fire engines, after that we went to Carding Mill Valley with some family friends. It was really fun and we went into the little stream there. The boys were using the rocks to try to create a dam and even Freddie had a turn of paddling in the stream. My mum also vlogged our trips to the fire station and Carding Mill.

In school I have had my art exam and I got a 3+. It was the top score in my class and I was really proud of my drawing. It was a drawing of cutlery and I used the techniques I had been taught in lessons. It was a pencil drawing.

My class went on a trip to Wroxeter Roman City and I forgot to get a letter so I couldn’t go as I didn’t tell my parents until the day before everybody was due to go. It was too late. Instead I stayed in school and took part in normal lessons. I even had to hang around with Harry at break because all of my friends were on the trip.

That’s it from me today, catch me next week!

If you missed Ellie’s take over last week you can catch her post and Harry’s posts on the links below.

Ellie’s Friday Takeover

Hello people,

I’m Ellie-Jayne and this is my section of the blog (whoop!) I’m going to be telling you about my week and all them thingmabobs Well this week has been good. I have been very busy this week as i was in a big thing in school called house arts with drama, choir, dance and a little video production. It’s all of the houses (things that divide the school onto four) against each other. I was in drama, video and choir even though i cant sing for the life of me.

Our theme this year was the lion king and I was the female version of Rafiki playing Tiki. We put a lot of effort in and I was told I will get a bigger part next year. This year was good though and my house won! Yay!

Also this week the whole family went on a Gruffalo trail where we basically went around following clues trying to find the Gruffalo. It’s an amazing place to go and I don’t want to ruin too much in case you want to go yourself but if you would like to know more you can check out my mum’s review or watch her Vlog.

Other than that I’ve been doing a lot of drawing for my art account on Instagram Ellie_with_a_pen.

That’s it from me, don’t forget to look out for me next Friday!

An Interview with a preteen girl, how do they really feel?

We all know teenagers are moody, stroppy , collect a hundred cups in their bedrooms.  The get greasy, smelly and have amazing attitudes where they think they can take on the world.  I thought it would be nice to get a preteens view of life. Not only can it help us parents to understand this strange species with a mop of greasy hair, but would also give a preteen the chance to speak out. 92% in a History Exam!

I promised when I started this blog that I would be sharing the highs and the lows and today is a massive high! I want to celebrate my daughters exam result.

When it comes to the kids education I try my best to make sure that they don’t make the same mistakes I make, and I drill into them that no matter what hurdles they come across if they keep their heads down. it will all be worthwhile and they will be successful in the long run.
