New Year , New Beginnings Make It A Good One

Good Afternoon everyone, I hope you’re all well and not too hung over after the celebrations of the New Year. I spent my new year playing board games with Annabelle, Gareth and a rather smug Harry and Ellie who managed to win most of the games for the first time ever.

We played family fortunes where we learned that absolutely nobody in my house at all knows anything about love or dates however they are apparently very knowledgeable when it comes to accessories that you have in your car! Then it was onto a game of good old Monopoly where everyone seemed to just decide to watch the TV and wait for the fireworks to come on the TV instead. My drink of choice was the very hardcore cup of coffee and my snacks were real butter on toast. ( I know right this girl can party hard!)

What does 2018 have in store?

I have no idea what 2018 has in store for me but I do know I’m excited to find out. Let’s face it 2017 was a big pile of dog do do so anything will be a massive improvement on that. I have woken up today with a new sense of positivity. I am determined this year will be about making things happen for me and my children. In fact some may even say I am determined to manipulate situations so that they work to our advantage and make our lives happier 😉

I’m very excited to be working on a fantastic new project which I hope will be a roaring success alongside some other incredible mummies. This should be launching this month so keep your eyes peeled, I think you will love it!

Babies are growing up!

This year will see my oldest princess turn into a teenager!! A teen! How on earth am I possibly old enough to not only have one teen but two! It only seems like yesterday I was discussing with her what it was like to be a preteen and thinking how I had ages until she actually turned into a spotty , grumbling, smelly ball of moodiness and then BANG! In a couple of months that will actually be happening ( Although I’m pretty sure she is already halfway to that now bloody hormones!)

This month sees the deadline for Master Freddie’s school forms. SCHOOL!!!! But I only just gave birth to him, how can he possibly be going to school? Surely the dates are mixed up or something right!?

Bethie decided on Christmas day that she was no longer going to crawl at all and instead was going to RUN everywhere and with her now found sense of big girlness came another new thing. NAUGHTINESS! She has found her little personality. She can talk the hind legs off a donkey and has decided that if she is told not to do something then what I actually mean is ‘Sure Bethie go ahead and do whatever you like’

Harry is doing fantastic. I can honestly say he seems really happy right now he is surrounded by plenty of friends and couldn’t care less about the people who made last year awful for him.

Gareth has decided to focus on being the best dad he can be whilst helping others suffering from mental health issues through his blog Daddy Giraffe.

So as you can see whilst we are stepping into 2018 in completely different circumstances to how we stepped into 2017. I’m extremely positive and excited to see what it has in store for me and my babies!

Here’s to new beginnings!
