If like me you have an inbetweener little girl you will find they are extremely difficult to buy for. A little bit too big for dolls and too young for make up. Annabelle is 9 and not particularly into anything at all. She has no favourite characters/games etc so when it comes to buying for her it can be a bit of a minefield.
I thought what better way to share my ideas than with another gift guide. If you missed my gift guide for her you can give it a little nosey here.I have been gifted some of these items to share with you however all thoughts and feelings are my own. Let’s begin!
Healthy Baking Mixes from
These fantastic mixes are not only really healthy with many of them being gluten and dairy free with no added sugar, but they also come with really easy instructions meaning that your inbetweener will be able to cook up some tasty treats with very little supervision. Most of the recipes just require some coconut oil , an egg and syrup/honey.
It really is very easy for tiny and bigger bakers alike. I’m not sure about yours but my kids are very fussy, however if they make it themselves they will eat anything so this is a sneaky but fab way of getting them to eat healthier treats.
Novelty lighting from Lighting Superstore
Annabelle shares her bedroom with her little sister and has found that she really likes the owl items that you can get. The lovely guys at lighting superstore sent us this beautiful owl light for their room. One thing I do need to say is this particular light does need to be fitted into your ceiling so maybe get someone who knows what they’re doing with electrics to fit it for you. Not only do they have this cute little owl but they also have a range of different lights such as helicopters, flowers, footballs and so much more! A great gift to help light up their bedrooms.
Snoball play from Zimpli Kids
This stuff is amazing! I mixed it up and was really sceptical. This tiny little package was going to produce snow! As I mixed it , it kind of took on a wallpaper paste texture and was clear so I sat amazed watching as it turned white just like snow. All 3 of my younger children loved this as you can tell by their faces here.
Even my inbetweener loved getting involved. Not only is it great fun to play with but it can also help to teach science as you explain what’s happening. They also have Gelli baff and Slime baff which we had great fun with, instead of putting them in the bath we decided to play a little game with them over on our YouTube channel. The kids absolutely loved it!
Despite now being too big for things like dolls and doll houses she absolutely adores My Fairy Garden having already collected a few sets she was very excited to receive this beautiful set. This beautiful set includes not only Fairies but also the cutest little hedgehog and a mini unicorn. You plant the seeds to grow the grass in the garden and the beautiful little house also doubles up as a night light.
Annabelle will be reviewing this in full on our YouTube channel so keep an eye out for it.
Children’s reversible fleece jacket
I’m a bit of a sneaky mum when it comes to Christmas and Birthdays. Quite often I use this as an opportunity to upgrade the kids wardrobes. My inbetweener needed a new jacket so when the amazing guys at PPE work solutions contacted me I knew exactly what I was going to go for.
I need to be honest here when looking for the kids coats I usually go to my local supermarket. I would never have even thought to check out somewhere like PPE work solutions as I was under the impression those kinds of places only did things like hi viz jackets but it turns out they do loads for children!
This beautiful jacket I got for Annabelle was less than £20 and is perfect for winter as it is reversible meaning that when its cold outside she is protected on the outside but nice and warm inside from the lining. It also comes in a range of colours making it suitable for both boys and girls.
They have also generously given me a code for you all to use which will give you a massive 20% discount! the code you need is 2018WINTER. I absolutely love Annabelle’s new coat and we’ve had quite a few comments on how gorgeous it is.
So there you have it, a few ideas for your little inbetweeners. It’s such an awkward age to buy for but hopefully some of these will help you
