As you all know the weather has been absolutely baking hot. Unfortunately we aren’t fans of the heat and sun in our house so after a busy day involving Annabelle’s sports day and lots of different things we decided it was the perfect time to have a pamper night with the lovely items we were sent from Nail-A-Peel. We popped Bethie to bed and then it was time to get started
Today is Beauticians Day ( It’s OK I didn’t know this either until we were asked if we wanted to join in). The lovely people at Gel-A-Peel got in touch and asked us if we would like to try out the Nail-A-Peel kit which of course we jumped to , Annabelle loves anything that involves being creative and sparkles.
She really couldn’t wait to get started and naturally her much girlier older sister Ellie wanted to give it a try too. ( She suffers from FOMO 😉 )
They opened the box and emptied out the contents which included :
40 Design Templates
3 Gel polishes
Nail Confetti ( My personal favourite part because I love anything that sparkles!)
2 Nail wheels – 1 pink and 1 white
3 Design Tips
2 Brush applicators
3D Gel Tray
Tweezers
3D Pearl stickers
Squeegee
50 Nail adhesives
Getting to work
The girls started to read the instructions then got to work on constructing their masterpieces. Ellie set to work on making her own little embellishments whilst Annabelle got straight to work on painting over the nails.
Both girls were kept occupied for ages trying to make everything they needed to create their nails. You could really see the concentration on Annabelle’s face as she worked away. She painted her first nail with the blue polish then added on her own little gems.
Our Thoughts
We thought the amount that you get inside the box is fantastic and you definitely have plenty of choice of what to make. Making the embellishments was quite tricky, In fact Ellie who is 13 struggled to squeeze the gel into the stencils so maybe make sure there is someone there to help with that part.
I think that the Nail-A-Peel is a fantastic set for bonding time between a mother and her daughter/s and it is great fun to watch the girls getting creative and letting their imaginations flow.
I do think maybe it is a little tricky for smaller children to use as Annabelle is 8 and struggled with some of the smaller parts of the kit.
Overall we all really enjoyed our relaxing pamper night and will look forward to making even more creations in the future. ( You get plenty of items so we can use it over and over again)
