why are sundays crazier than any other day of the week?

The saying goes that Sundays are meant to be a day of rest right? WRONG! well wrong in our house anyway, if anything Sundays are most definitely the busiest day of the week.

Because I am not exactly the most organised of people Sundays are always crazy busy here. For a start I NEVER have the uniforms sorted, so we always have all of the uniforms to wash, now I’m not going to lie it usually gets to around 6pm and I realise I haven’t washed them and its a mad dash to get them done ( I don’t do it by myself I’m very lucky in the fact that Gareth is very hands on and helps massively) Continue reading “why are sundays crazier than any other day of the week?”

It doesn’t matter how many kids you have

It’s official , whether you have 1, 2, 3,4,5 or 555 children it does NOT get easier, yes you learn as you go along and you pick up things and ways of dealing with certain things but every single day is a new learning curve. Becoming confident : why do we let other people affect us so much?

Good evening/morning , how are you all? … I went to bed at 7 as I’ve not been feeling to well but was woken at 11 by Gareth climbing into bed and tripping over me (It’s ok you can laugh) When I woke up I had a quick nosy on Facebook then got back into bed but couldn’t sleep as I was over thinking everything, I can’t be the only person that does this? Today’s topic of thought was confidence. This is something I struggle with if you take a look at This you may understand why. Headlice!!!!!

You know what drives me nuts about school?? bloody head lice!!!

1 day , 1 little day they’ve been back and I’ve had to go through Annabelles hair, don’t get me wrong you can’t avoid them and trust me when I say your child WILL 150% get them at some point during school life and the first time you will freak out, blame yourself, wonder if you have washed their hair enough, if your kid isnt looked after properly and think you are in fact the worst parent in the world. Let me stop you right there YOU ARE NOT! Continue reading “Headlice!!!!!”

Social media is scary!!!!!

This is a bit different to my usual posts but I felt like I had to write something about social media and how scary it can be….
I’ve just come across a few posts about a 12 year old who committed suicide on Facebook live stream. my heart absolutely goes out to the girl and her family, I can’t imagine what it must feel like as a parent to have to watch your child do something so heartbreaking. and I’ve also heard that Facebook will not remove the video either, as a mum of a 12 year old boy and an 11 year old girl I find this horrifying.
